Where I work

I am a Biodiversity Conservationist (MRes) with extensive field work experience. This includes participating in wilderness reserve management in Limpopo and leading camera trap and transect surveys in a remote reserve in Ghana for 3 months.

As an ecologist, I have been involved in various projects related to wildlife research, habitat restoration, environmental impact analysis, and conservation planning.

Power of Photography

Photography can be a successful tool in wildlife conservation and research. It can be used to tell a story and is widely used in science communication. It’s accessible and can be used as way to connect us to situations removed from us.

To conserve wildlife we need to monitor their movements and populations. This requires individuals to be easily identifiable, this can be done through recognising distinct markings, scars and whisker patterns, monitored with photographs. Photography records along with other data such as location data creates a valuable contribution to identifying individuals such as lions, elephants and wolves and produce up to date identification kits to monitor species.

I am always looking for exciting projects and conservation stories to document and share. I’d love to create new imagery that supports your mission and work.
